Journey Back To Poca

This section of my blog is solely dedicated to my curly mane. I basically have roots in every continent of the world, so my hair has been totally confused over the years as to who it wants to be. No, really: Dominican, Pakistani, German, English and Irish. My ancestors weren't messing around, and when it comes to my mane...Neither am I. For those of you that know your shit, I'd say that the closest reference to my hair type is a 3C. Aaaaaaand for those of you that don't know, think Tracee Ellis Ross and a whole lotta maintenance.

The whole point of this blog section is basically going to be product reviews and recommendations (or naaaaht). Please take into account my hair type and the art of personal preference, as each curl type and curly chick has their own needs and, from my experience, the journey is purely about finding those gems that fit those needs perfectly.

As a result of my current routine, my hair still isn't the length or condition that I want it to be, but it is in the best condition that it's been in for years...But please don't be fooled, my hair has seen some serious abuse, I'm talking: bleached, what, four or five times in the space of three years? And then another two more times last year, some serious chameleon style dyeing going on, endless amounts of heat damage and some serrrrrrriously big chops (the first of which is the cause of my hatred towards hairdressers and the reason for my unwillingness to ever go to one again). But now I truly believe I've finally found some of my hair care gems, and experienced a few notable rocks along the way...So guys, this is me, welcoming you on my hair care journey back to the Pocahontas that I once was, and hoping that you, my fellow curly chicas  will be joining me in the pursuit of some booty-bouncin' curls.
