More Fruits Than a Spanish Market...

Dolce and Gabbana's Alta Moda couture shows are an exquisite presentation of a fashion and lifestyle so unattainably high that the majority of us would require Google Translator just to realise that 'Alta Moda' is, actually, Italian for 'High Fashion'.

Nevertheless, the Alta Moda couture collection remains just as stunning, if not even more so, season after season. Fall 2014 is no exception.

According to Stefano and Domenico, "On Capri, a woman doesn't live in the seasons". Oh no, if the couture collection is anything to go by, on Capri -  an island located in the Tyrrhenian Sea - women live a lavish life, draped in dresses made of silk and tulle and adorned with more fruits than a Spanish market. And with the one-off, first-come-first-served dresses in the collection selling at astronomical prices that would make most people's annual salaries appear little more than pocket money, you can expect the status of the guests in attendance to be no exception to the opulent display of wealth and grandeur. A wealth that, no doubt, requires a money tree bigger than Jack's beanstalk, and a certain depth in your pockets to accommodate for such.

I don't know about you, but I've got some beans to find and a dog to trade...

  1. I love this brand so much, I like the kind of woman who describe their dresses, always with lace and flower, fruits print, red lips, so elegant, it inspires me a lot, but it's too expensive for me :(

    1. Hi Cília!

Thank you for reading and taking the time to comment :)
I agree, the princess-style dresses really are out of this world. Although, I think that they're too expensive for the majority of us :(
      But, maybe one day...

  2. I totally agree, I'm loving the Italian influence that they've shown in both their garments and their advertising campaigns over the past few years.
Well Gabrielle, we can dream! I know that I sure am...

    P.s. thanks for following back!
